Born in Qiqihar, China, (Devin) Yin Gong moved to the United States at age 11. Following his high school education, he applied to the Maryland Institute College of art with the intention of print making. However, his interest shifted towards painting after his foundation year at MICA. He now lives in Washington D.C. where he continues his work.
